All consultations are by appointment only.
Routine Appointments
You can book a routine appointment up to 2 weeks in advance. If your
problem is more urgent you can receive treatment or advice sooner. This
may not be with your preferred GP.
Telephone Consultations
Our reception team may sometimes offer you a telephone consultation when
a routine appointment is not available. The doctors can often assist
you in this way, saving you time and effort it takes to come to the
surgery. If you think a telephone appointment may be right for you then
please ask for one when you call. The Clinician then decides whether you need to be seen in the surgery.
Urgent Appointments
If it is urgent for you to see a doctor within 24 hours, please contact
the surgery between 08:00 - 09:30am and 14:00 - 16:00pm. You will be given
an 'Emergency Extra’ appointment. This will mean you will have to wait
to be seen as routine appointments will be seen first by the doctor.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please let the surgery know as soon as possible so that your appointment can be offered to another patient.
Emergency
The above link provide NHS guidance on pathways and what constitutes an emergency.
If you or your family need urgent medical care when the surgery is closed, please call free phone 111. Calls are free from both landlines and mobiles.
Your needs will be assessed and you will either be given advice or arrangements will be made for you to be seen by a healthcare professional. If the advisor thinks your condition is more serious they will direct you to a hospital or send an ambulance.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
NHS 111 Online
111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.
Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:
